Exports

The Biosecurity Authority of Fiji (BAF) is charged with the responsibility to facilitate agricultural trade primary produce exports. The main area of responsibility is to assist exporters by exploring market access opportunities for targeted produce (such as papaya and breadfruit).
There are a number of factors to consider before attempting to export plant, animal or forestry goods from Fiji. These include the product involved and the requirements of country or countries it is being sent to.
This page informs exporters of the biosecurity requirements of exporting products such as requirements of acquiring an exporter’s license, export requirements for exporting certain commodities, Fiji’s Bilateral Quarantine Agreement (BQA) with Australia and New Zealand , Fruit Export and Marketing Act, Packhouse Guidelines for exporters and requirements for packhouse facilities.
